How Make Elementary OS Interface Transparent

In this tutorial, we are going to make our Elementary OS transparent by the use of a theme.

First of all install Elementary tweaks here if you haven’t.

Installing Transparent Theme

Open terminal and run the commands below:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:yunnxx/elementary
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install elementary-transparent-theme

After Elementary Transparent theme has been installed successfully we need to apply to our system.

Navigate to settings and the Tweaks from System Settings as shown below:

By default, the Tweaks parameters under Appearance displays the values shown in the image below:

Now, Change that of Windows Decoration and Interface Theme to Transparent as shown below:

Log out and re-log in to apply changes.
